Whole Foods is one of those stores that you love to visit because you know whatever you purchase will be good for you, but it’s tough to find a bargain in a store that carries only organic foods.
Whole Foods just recently opened its doors in Oklahoma and this week I finally got the chance to experience the store for myself…but I couldn’t go without trying to find the best deals in the store.
Armed with the coupon policy and my stacked coupons – manufacturer coupons plus coupons from Whole Foods to use together on a single item – I was excited as I searched the aisles for great deals.
This is what I found:
First, go to http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/coupons/ to print the coupons that Whole Foods has to offer.
Get $1 off Celestial Seasonings Tea with their printable coupon.
The tea was $2.59.
I used the $1 off Whole Foods coupon along with a $1 off Celestial Seasonings Tea coupon from Facebook, which gave me $2 off.
Final price = $.59 plus we picked a flavor with a $1 off coupon inside the box to use later.
There are also coupons for Celestial Seasonings tea in the inserts from past Sunday papers as follows:
$1/1 Celestial Seasonings Tea Bags 01/15/2012 SS Insert (exp 04/15/2012)
$1/1 Celestial Seasonings Tea Bags 12/04/2011 SS Insert (exp 03/04/2012)
$1/1 Celestial Seasonings tea bags 11/06/2011 SS Insert (exp 02/06/2012)
You can use the one from Whole Foods along with either the printable Facebook coupon or one from the Sunday paper inserts. This is what is referred to as “stacking” and if the cashier tells you that you can only use one coupon per item (like he tried to tell me) explain to him or her that you have one manufacturer and one Whole Foods.
Item 2 is Blue Diamond Almond Breeze.
Print the Whole Foods coupon for $1 off 2 Blue Diamond Almond Breeze.
They are $2.39 each.
On October 16, 2011 Smart Source insert had the following coupon. If you have it, use this coupon and get 2 Almond Milks for $2.78 total.
$1/2 Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Almond milk Chilled or Shelf Table 10/16/2011 SS Insert (exp 01/31/2012)
Item 3 is Organic Valley Soy Creamer. Print the Whole Foods coupon for $.50 off.
Print the Facebook coupon for $.50 off Organic Valley Soy Creamer.
First “like” the product and then enter the “celebrate” contest or click on the link to “celebrate” on the left and you will be taken to the coupon.
This will give you $1 off $2.39 price, which will be $1.39 total.
Item 4 is the Oikos Greek Yogurt coupon on Whole Foods for $1 off. Print this coupon.
Go to http://www.coupons.com/couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=15046&zid=uw18&nid=10&bid=alk0116190137f81f0d4947611 and print the $1 off coupon for Oikos.
I got the 4 pack for $4.99. This will make the yogurt $2.99.
The final item is the San J Asian cooking sauce. It was $3.39.
Print the $.55 off Whole Foods Coupon.
Go to http://www.coupons.com/couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=15046&zid=uw18&nid=10&bid=alk0116190137f81f0d4947611 and print the $.55 off coupon.
This will make the sauce $2.29.
The total amount you will spend before taxes will be $10.04.
Without coupons it would be $26.24.
This is not a great deal, but for 61% off at Whole Foods, it sounds great to me.
